Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the DuurzameJobs platform, a vacancy and career services website focusing on sustainability. By using our website, creating an account, or entering into an agreement with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Identity and Contact

2. Definitions

  • Website: www.duurzamejobs.com

  • Candidate: individual using the website to view jobs, apply, or create a profile

  • Employer / Recruiter: company using the website to post vacancies or search candidates

  • User: any visitor, Candidate, or Employer

  • Account: a registered profile giving access to additional Website features

3. Applicability

  • These Terms apply to all use of the Website, all offers from DuurzameJobs, and all agreements with Candidates and Employers.

  • Deviations are only valid if agreed in writing.

  • User’s own general conditions are not applicable.

  • If you accept these terms on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to represent that company.

4. Accounts

  • Candidates may apply without an account, but Employers must create one to post jobs.

  • Users must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, up-to-date information.

  • You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your credentials secure.

  • Fake or misleading profiles are prohibited.

  • Employers may add additional users; the Employer remains responsible for their actions.

  • DuurzameJobs may refuse, suspend, or close accounts at any time if terms or laws are violated.

5. Posting Vacancies

  • Vacancies must be genuine, accurate, and lawful. Employers are fully responsible for vacancy content.

  • Vacancies must promote only one position and may not contain misleading information, third-party links, or unauthorized logos/trademarks.

  • Vacancies must be removed immediately once filled. DuurzameJobs may remove or refuse vacancies at its discretion.

  • Ranking of vacancies on the Website may depend on the purchased package or subscription.

  • If a social media campaign is included, DuurzameJobs determines design, format, and timing.

6. Employer Company Pages

  • Employers may create a company page, included in certain packages.

  • Content must be accurate, lawful, and respect third-party rights. Employers indemnify DuurzameJobs against any claims.

  • DuurzameJobs may refuse, edit, or remove company pages at any time. Refund is not due unless DuurzameJobs is at fault.

  • Employers are responsible for updates. Modification requests must be submitted to info@duurzamejobs.com.

7. Code of Conduct

Users must treat others respectfully and may not:

  • Post unlawful, false, discriminatory, threatening, or infringing content

  • Post spam or unauthorized advertisements

  • Tamper with or disrupt the Website (e.g., hacking, scraping)

  • Misuse intellectual property of DuurzameJobs

Breach of these rules may result in immediate suspension, removal, or legal action.

8. Privacy and Data Use

  • DuurzameJobs processes personal data in line with our Privacy Statement and Cookie Policy.

  • Employers may use candidate data only to recruit for the relevant vacancy and in compliance with GDPR. Any misuse results in a €5,000 fine per violation, in addition to liability for damages.

9. Prices

  • Candidates use the Website free of charge.

  • Employers pay fees for job packages, subscriptions, or company pages as published on www.duurzamejobs.com. Prices are exclusive of VAT.

  • DuurzameJobs may update pricing; changes will be communicated before taking effect.

10. Eco Support Program – Specific Conditions

10.1 Program Purpose
The Eco Support program is an exclusive job promotion initiative by DuurzameJobs designed to support scale-ups and impact startups with clear sustainability missions. It provides shorter-duration job visibility combined with targeted promotion to sustainability professionals.

10.2 Eligibility Criteria
Participation in Eco Support is limited to Employers that:

  • Qualify as a scale-up or impact startup, typically under 3 years of operation;

  • Employ a team size of fewer than 20 employees;

  • Demonstrate a clear environmental or social impact mission integrated into their business model;

  • Show an active growth trajectory and readiness to onboard new employees.

Eligible companies may use the Eco Support program for one (1) job advertisement per 12 months at no cost. If a company wishes to use Eco Support more than once in the same 12-month period, the regular program fee of €189 (excl. VAT) per job advertisement applies.

DuurzameJobs reserves the right to request documentation or clarification to confirm eligibility.

10.3 Program Features
Eco Support packages include:

  • Job visibility on DuurzameJobs.nl for a maximum of 14 calendar days;

  • Targeted audience promotion via the DuurzameJobs newsletter, social media channels, and employer spotlight features;

  • Employer branding opportunities through SEO-optimized content.

The exact promotional channels and design are determined by DuurzameJobs at its sole discretion.

10.4 Limitations

  • Eco Support is offered as a support initiative, and DuurzameJobs may limit the number of participants to ensure program quality.

  • Employers not meeting the eligibility criteria may be refused participation without refund if false or misleading information is provided during application.

  • Standard Terms & Conditions of DuurzameJobs, including Articles 5 (Posting Vacancies), 6 (Employer Pages), 7 (Code of Conduct), and 8 (Privacy and Data Use), fully apply.

10.5 Pricing and Payment
Eco Support packages beyond the initial free allocation (1 per 12 months) are billed at €189 per job advertisement, exclusive of VAT. Payment and refund conditions follow Article 11 of these Terms.

10.6 Termination of Participation
DuurzameJobs reserves the right to suspend or terminate an Employer’s participation in Eco Support if:

  • Eligibility criteria are no longer met;

  • Misrepresentation or breach of these Terms occurs;

  • Employer misuse harms the integrity of the program.

11. Payment

  • Invoices must be paid within 14 calendar days.

  • Late payments incur statutory commercial interest plus collection costs (minimum €150).

  • Services may be suspended for non-payment.

  • Subscriptions run for 6 or 12 months, automatically renewing monthly unless canceled in writing with one month’s notice.

  • Refunds are not provided unless specifically agreed or if DuurzameJobs terminates without cause.

12. Disclaimer

  • The Website is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, absence of errors, or that vacancies or applications will produce results.

  • DuurzameJobs is not an intermediary, recruiter, or employment agency. We do not verify employer or candidate information.

  • Use of the site is at your own risk.

13. Content Rights

  • You retain ownership of content you post. However, by posting content (e.g., CVs, vacancy texts, images), you grant DuurzameJobs a license to use it for Website and promotional purposes.

  • Employers permit DuurzameJobs to use their name and logo in promotional materials.

  • DuurzameJobs content, design, and software are protected by intellectual property rights and may not be copied or reused.

14. Termination

  • Accounts and agreements may be terminated by DuurzameJobs if these Terms are violated, or for legal reasons.

  • Employer-paid packages and subscriptions cannot be canceled during their term unless otherwise agreed.

  • In case of bankruptcy, suspension of payments, or dissolution of the Employer, DuurzameJobs may terminate the agreement immediately.

15. Force Majeure

DuurzameJobs is not liable for non-performance due to force majeure, including illness, strikes, network failures, epidemics, or government measures. If force majeure continues for more than two months, either party may terminate the agreement, with possible pro-rata refund.

16. Questions and Complaints

  • Questions and complaints may be sent to info@duurzamejobs.com.

  • We aim to respond within 14 days.

  • Employers must submit service-related complaints within 30 days after the end of the agreement.

17. Liability

  • DuurzameJobs is not liable for indirect damages such as lost profit, reputation damage, or downtime.

  • Liability is limited to the insurer payout or, if absent, to the invoiced amount for the relevant service, capped at €500.

  • Liability for intent or gross negligence of DuurzameJobs is not excluded.

  • Claims expire 12 months after termination of the agreement.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

  • Dutch law applies exclusively.

  • Disputes will be heard by the competent court of Rotterdam.

19. Changes

  • DuurzameJobs may update these Terms. Updated terms will be posted on the Website and notified to users. Continued use of the Website means acceptance of the updated terms.

  • If you do not accept updated terms, you must stop using the Website.
