DuurzameJobs – Security & Acceptable Use Policy

This Security & Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) outlines the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for all individuals and organizations who access or use DuurzameJobs (the “Platform”). By registering, posting a job, submitting an application, or using the Platform in any way, you agree to comply with this Policy.
Our goal is to provide a trusted, secure, and ethical platform that supports sustainability-focused careers while protecting all users’ rights and data.
1. Purpose and Scope
This Policy applies to:
• All registered users, job seekers, and employers using the Platform.
• All data, communications, and interactions conducted through the Platform.
• Any associated digital tools, newsletters, or services provided by DuurzameJobs.
It supplements—but does not replace—our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms & Conditions. If there is a conflict between documents, this Policy will apply specifically in matters of security, responsible conduct, and platform use.
2. Responsible Use
When using the Platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and lawful information in all forms, applications, and communications.
• Use systems, content, and data in compliance with all applicable laws, including data protection and employment regulations.
You must not:
• Upload or distribute malware, phishing attempts, or any malicious code.
• Use automated bots, scraping tools, or data-mining methods without prior written consent.
• Share misleading, discriminatory, or harmful job postings or content.
• Spam other users with promotional, non–job-related, or irrelevant communications.
3. Account & Access Security
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must not share or resell access to your account.
• Notify us immediately at security@duurzamejobs.com if you suspect unauthorized access or account misuse.
• We reserve the right to suspend or block accounts showing suspicious or harmful activity.
4. Data Protection & Privacy
• We handle personal and organizational data in accordance with GDPR and Dutch privacy laws.
• Employers are responsible for handling applicant data responsibly and securely, and only for legitimate hiring purposes.
• Harvesting or reselling applicant data is strictly prohibited.
5. Acceptable Content
All content posted on DuurzameJobs must comply with the following standards:
• Sustainability-focus: Content must align with ethical, sustainable, or socially responsible employment opportunities.
• Accuracy: Job postings must be genuine roles, with clear information about terms and conditions.
• Integrity: Content must not be misleading, discriminatory, or exploitative.
We reserve the right to remove accounts that violate these standards.
6. Third-Party Links & Services
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for security risks, privacy practices, or content hosted externally. Users access third-party resources at their own risk.
7. Security Commitment
DuurzameJobs implements technical and organizational measures to maintain platform security, including:
• Encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest.
• Regular vulnerability monitoring and system updates.
• Access controls for administrative functions.
However, no digital platform is fully secure. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that information sent online can carry inherent security risks.
8. Reporting Incidents
Users are encouraged to promptly report:

• Fraudulent job postings or suspicious employer behavior.
• Misuse of data or breach of this Policy.

9. Enforcement
If you violate this Policy, we may take one or more actions at our discretion:

• Suspend or terminate your account.
• Report unlawful activity to competent authorities.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements, platform functionality, or security practices. Updates will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of changes.
11. Governing Law
This Policy and any related disputes will be governed by the laws of The Netherlands, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of The Netherlands.
