What information we collect
We collect data directly from you when you create an account, apply for a job, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us. We may also collect limited browsing information via cookies (see below).


Candidate Data
When you register or apply for a vacancy, we may process:
• Name, address, date/place of birth, gender, age
• Email address, phone number, password
• Occupation and employment details
• Cover letter, CV, education, work experience, profile description
• Relocation preferences, desired salary, availability
• Profile photograph (optional)
• Application data (messages, documents, employer communication)


Employer Data
When you post vacancies or create an employer account, we may collect:
• Name, role, email address, phone number
• Company name, address, billing details
• Profile data and correspondence

Website Visitors
If you browse the site, we may collect:
• General visitor data (IP address, device, browser type, usage data)
• Inquiry details (when you contact us)
• Testimonials (with consent)


Newsletter
For our newsletter, we only process your name and email with your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe anytime via the opt-out link.


How and Why we use your data
We process your personal data only for legitimate purposes such as:
• Creating and managing candidate and employer accounts
• Facilitating job applications and communication between candidates and employers
• Sending job alerts or service updates (only with your consent)
• Delivering our newsletter (with consent)
• Managing contracts, invoicing, and compliance with legal obligations
• Improving our services and website (with analytical data)
• Responding to inquiries and support requests


We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with trusted service providers or employers where necessary.


Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies to enhance site functionality and user experience. Essential cookies are always active. Non-essential cookies (analytics, performance, or marketing) are only placed with your explicit consent, as required by GDPR.


We may use services like Google Analytics. Data may be transferred outside the EEA with adequate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

How long we keep your data
We do not keep data longer than necessary. Specific periods include:

  • Candidate application  up to 12 months after the end of the recruitment process, unless you consent to longer storage in your profile.
    •Candidate account  deleted immediately upon account closure, with anonymization of residual data in backups.
    •Employer account and billing  retained as long as the relationship lasts; invoicing records must be retained for 7 years under Dutch law.
    •Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
    •Backups: retained for 6 months, then deleted.

 

Sharing of Data

We may share your personal data with carefully selected partners, such as:

  • Hosting and IT service providers
  • Newsletter and mailing service providers (for example HubSpot)
  • Analytics providers (for example Google Analytics, subject to GDPR safeguards)
  • Accountants and legal advisors
  • Employers (when you apply for their job)


We only share data when necessary, based on:

  • Performance of a contract
  • Legal obligations
  • Your explicit consent
  • A legitimate interest that does not override your rights


Data transfers outside the EEA occur only when appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.


Security Measures
We take technical and organizational measures to secure your data, including:
• Encrypted (TLS) connections
• Secure passwords and access controls

• Backups stored securely

While we cannot guarantee 100% security online, we review and update our security regularly.

Automated Decision-Making
